Terms of Service

By accessing or using Hearthwright at hearthwright.app or any related subdomains (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Hearthwright (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Hearthwright is a paid, one-time service that takes the personal and career information you paste into our intake (your current résumé and the job posting you are applying to), runs it through a generative AI model via the Polsia AI proxy, and emails you back two PDF documents: a tailored résumé and a written cover letter. A private result page is also opened for re-downloads within the same order.

There is no account to create, no subscription to manage, and no dashboard. One order = one role = two documents = fifteen US dollars (USD 15), paid through Stripe-hosted checkout.

Payment is flat-fee at USD 15 per order. Checkout is handled by Stripe Connect through our billing module; you will see Stripe as the merchant on your card statement. Prices are computed server-side — no quote is taken from your browser.

Refunds are not automatic, but every order includes one free self-serve regeneration at no additional charge: from the private result page you can ask us to rerun the generation (with optional guidance on what to retune) within 24 hours of delivery. The window is measured in wall-clock time on our server, not on your device. If we cannot make the regenerated documents read the way they should, write to us within 14 days of delivery and we will refund the order. After the regeneration is used, or after 14 days, whichever comes first, the order is final.

When using Hearthwright you agree that you will not:

• Paste credentials, security clearances, certifications, or any other qualifications you do not actually hold.
• Use the documents for postings that promote illegal activity.
• Impersonate any other person or entity in the materials you submit, or in the documents you receive back.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying prompts or models used to generate your documents.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the generated documents as a service to other job-seekers.

We may refuse or cancel orders that we reasonably believe violate this section. In clear cases (impersonation, fabrication), we may do so without prior notice.

You retain ownership of what you paste. The text of your résumé and the text of the job posting you submit remain yours at all times.

You retain ownership of what we generate for you. The tailored résumé and cover letter delivered to your email are yours to use, edit, and submit to the employer. We grant you a non-exclusive, perpetual license to use those documents for any lawful job-application purpose.

We do not train on your content. Your paste and your generated documents are processed for your order and not retained or used to train any model. We do not sublicense your content to any third party.

Our trademarks and this site. The Hearthwright name, the product design, and the site itself remain our property. Nothing in these Terms transfers our brand or our software to you.

Both documents are generated by an AI model on the basis of the text you paste. We do our best to keep every claim grounded in your actual experience and the actual posting, and we deliberately avoid fabricating qualifications that are not in your résumé. Even so, the documents may contain errors in dates, role titles, employer names, or paraphrases of your experience.

You are responsible for reviewing the documents before sending them to an employer. The self-serve regeneration described in Section 3 is the path we provide for fixing anything that reads off.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. The documents are tailored to the posting you supply, but we do not guarantee that they will pass any specific applicant-tracking system, secure any specific interview, or result in any specific hiring outcome. We disclaim, to the maximum extent permitted by law, all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the affected order (USD 15). We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost interview opportunities, lost employment, lost wages, or reputational harm.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including Ownership, No Warranty, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law — survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Material changes will be noted in an updated “Last updated” line; continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
